Who We Are
The Texas Psychological Hive was founded out of necessity. As a psychologist, Dr. Chrishawn Finister saw firsthand how gaps in insurance coverage left families and young adults struggling to access critical mental health care. Too often, those with Medicaid, limited insurance, or no coverage at all were turned away—simply because they couldn’t afford out-of-pocket costs.
Driven by a commitment to equity and equality, we created a solution: free psychological evaluations for North Texans in need. Though we’re just beginning, our 501(c)(3) status marks a pivotal step toward lasting change—and we’re proud to serve as a beacon of hope for our community.
